Our Mission and Vision

Mission Statement:

Leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

In order to accomplish our mission, we encourage people to grow in three vital relationships:
•    Intimacy with God.
•    Fellowship with Insiders.
•    Evangelism with Outsiders.

We use the acrostic L.I.F.E. to remind us of our mission.

Our Mission Statement is based upon the following two passages of Scripture commonly referred to as the Great Commission and the Great Commandment:

Matthew 28:19-20 – The Great Commission
19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

From this scripture we understand that our mission is to make disciples.  In other words, our mission is to relationally connect with people in such a way that it encourages them to follow Christ.

Our mission is to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Matthew 22:36-39 – The Great Commandment
36"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" 37Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'  38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'

A growing relationship with Jesus Christ will be demonstrated by loving God and loving others.

Loving others can be divided into 2 categories:
•    Those in the faith (believers).
•    Those outside the faith (non-believers).

In order to accomplish our mission of leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, we encourage people to grow in three vital relationships:
•    Intimacy with God
•    Fellowship (partnership) with Insiders (believers).
•    Evangelism (winning people to Christ) with Outsiders (non-believers).

Intimacy with God – Matt. 22:37 Jesus replied:  Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.

Fellowship with Insiders – John 13:35 By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.

Evangelism with Outsiders - 1 Pet 3:15 But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.
